Florence Easterday

Florence (Downing) Easterday, 100, of Circleville, died February 1, 2007 in Pickaway Manor. She was born November 9, 1906 in Lockport, IN the daughter of Hiram and Minerva Jane (Tribett) Downing. She was the youngest of 10, 8 girls and 2 boys. She graduated from Rockfield High School in 1925. She was a member of Crossroads Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Easterday, to whom she was married to for 60 years; 7 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her adopted children, Dale Edwards, Charlie Edwards, Marie Elswick, Juanita Thomas and Karen Thompson all of Circleville; special niece, Joyce (Easterday) Davis; special nephew, David Whitmore; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Grace Lang of Springfield; special friends, Bea Boltenhouse, Gladys Hurt and Ruby Wise. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday February 5, 2007 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Rev. David Vanhoose, Pastor Lonnie Potts and Pastor Paul Elswick officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
