Florence Elisabeth Stevenson, of Circleville, died September 24, 2013 at Berger Hospital. She was born on February 28, 1929 in Circleville the daughter of the late John Beryl and Florence (Grimes) Stevenson. She is survived by her brother, John A. Stevenson and his wife, Linda Given Stevenson; nieces, Susan E. Stevenson of Tarlton and Sharon S. Stevenson; and great nephew, Stevenson Alvarez of Corvalis, Oregon. Elisabeth was a lifelong farmer in the Circleville and New Holland areas. She specialized in swine production and was a member of the Pork Producers Council for many years. After graduating from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, she served as a county 4-H agent with the OSU Extension Service. She then worked with dairy producers’ in the Dairy Herd Improvement program within the county. After these services, she returned full time to the farm producing livestock and crops. Elisabeth was involved in many community activities with being an Elder in the Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Pickaway County Farm Bureau, Pork Council, 4-H and for many years a member of the OSU Presidents Club. Elisabeth had many friends in the state and internationally. She will be remembered as a sweet, intelligent, caring person. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 28, 2013 at the Circleville Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Troy Braswell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
