Florence (Payne) Williams

Florence May Williams, 96, of Circleville passed away on January 25, 2023 surrounded by her family following a brief illness.  Florence was born December 3, 1926 in Circleville, OH.  She was a 1947 graduate of Circleville High School.  She married the love of her life Willie “Bill” Williams on December 26, 1947.  They were married 55 years until his passing in 2003.  Florence was a devoted and faithful Christian, honored to serve the Lord.  She taught Sunday School for 20 years.  She is survived by her daughters Della Eckart and Sondra Ferrell both of Circleville, sister-in-law Eleanor Payne, grandchildren Kathy (Ron) Maxson, Jason (Michelle) Easter, Jennifer (John) Power, Valerie (Anthony) Beverly, great grandchildren Sydney, Justin, Jaden, Katie, Vinny, Tailor (Scott), Tori (Mason), Kohl (Alyssa), Maxene, Mela, Kairi, Hunter, Brittany, Morgan, Kayona, Zay, Kymani, great, great grandchildren Joseph, Jenna, Ryder, Arya and Adley, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.  Florence was called “Tim” by her siblings, (as she was small but mighty)  Logan (Mary) Payne, Holbert (Mary) Payne, Ruby (Roy) Sowers, James “Buck” (Joanne) Payne and Walter (Eleanor) Payne.  She was the last of her siblings to gain her heavenly wings.   She was preceded in death, along with her siblings, by her parents Lewis Henry Payne and Hattie Jane (Blevins) Payne, son Michael “Micky” Williams, daughter Rita Jean Williams and son-in-law Jerry Eckart.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions are suggest to David P Blom Administrative Campus, Ohio Health Hospice, 3430 Ohio Health Parkway, Columbus, Ohio 43202.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
