Frances Azbell

Frances Ellen Azbell went to her Heavenly Home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012. She was born October 16, 1917, to Loring and Grace (Stout) Adams near Stoutsville, OH. As teen-agers, Frances and her sister, Evelyn, were music evangelists at churches in the area. They were known as the Adams Sisters. Frances graduated from Stoutsville High School in 1935 as Salutatorian of her class. She married Carl E. Azbell January 28, 1939, who pre-deceased her in 2010. They were married nearly 73 years. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by her sister, Evelyn (Stanley) Dunkle; parents; 2 sisters-in-law; and nephew. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna & Dan Dailey; 2 step grandsons, JR (Marianne) Daily and Phil (Beth) Dailey; 2 step granddaughters, Elizabeth and Brigid. She is also survived by 3 nieces and 1 nephew, and several loving cousins. She and Carl farmed for over 40 years on the family farm near Stoutsville. She was an active member of her home church of Fairview and then became an active member of the Good Shepherd UM Church when they moved to Pickaway County in 1979. A special thank you to the Brown Memorial Home for their loving care the past nine months, and a word of appreciation to Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care for Frances. The family would like to thank special friends and caregivers, Betty Grube, Dulcie Jeffries, and Donna Henry who so lovingly helped with mother. Friends may call Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. A memorial service will follow visitation. Interment at Maple Hill Cemetery in Stoutsville immediately after the service.
