Frances Carroll

Frances E. Carroll, 66, of Lancaster, died June 16, 2010 at Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born September 23, 1943 in Vinton County, the daughter of Roy and Ocie (Clary) Newman. She was retired from Midwest Fabricating in Amanda. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 grandchildren, Cody and Ashley Carroll; the father of her children, Richard K. Carroll, Sr.; sister, Juanita Dobbins and brothers, Cloyd Morrison, Roland, Leonard and Ralph Newman. Frances is survived by her children, Ritchie (Wendy) Carroll of Stoutsville, Dane (Sherry) Carroll and Shena Thomas of Lancaster; son-in-law, Randy Thomas of Bremen; daughter-in-law, Sherryl Carroll of Hallsville; grandchildren, Nicholas (Kristen), Marquita and Nathain Carroll and Kylie Valentine; step-grandchildren, Ashley, Chance and Chad Thomas, Shasta and Miranda Hambel; step-great grandchildren, Ayden Hall and Keirsten Smith; sisters, Thelma Johnson of Amanda, Vada Miller of McArthur and Marlene Mathes of Circleville; brothers, John Newman of Laurelville, Charles Newman of Londonderry, Jesse (Joyce) Newman of Circleville, Art (Becky) Newman of LasVegas, NV and Dale (Pam) Newman of Stoutsville and special friend, Carol Walton of Lancaster. Special thanks to Fair Hope Hospice, Pickering House and Margaret Good. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 19, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville. Burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Fair Hope Hospice and Pickering House.
