Frank N. Burris, 75 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Country Glenn Nursing Home after a long illness. Frank was born on August 28, 1935 to Dr. William and Florine (Walker) Burris and was raised in Washington Court House. He attended Washington Court House Schools and the Ohio State University. Frank was a supervisor with Lazarus for 19 years and after leaving Lazarus he owned a successful business, Precision Draperies, which designed custom window treatments. Frank took early retirement to enjoy his many hobbies and interests.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Dr. Norman Burris of Colorado.
Mr. Burris is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eleanor “E. Gee” (Haynes) Burris of Washington C.H., two children, Bill (Jane) of New Albany, Ohio and Melissa Stepanovsky of Chicago and a loving and devoted niece, Kelly Wenner (John) of Hilliard, Ohio, seven grandchildren, Aaron (Shelly) Burris of Florida, Seth (Cynthis) of Chicago, Tara (Tim) Mulhull of New Albany, Whitney and Kelsey Burris of New Albany, Alexa and Alayna Stepanovsky both of Chicago, two great grandchildren, Arya Mulhull and Alexander Burris, two brothers, Dr. Lawrence (Roseanne) Burris of Washington C.H., Dr. Robert (Nancy) Burris of Defiance and by one sister-in-law, Lee Burris of Colorado.
Funeral services for Mr. Burris will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00.
