Franklin D. Seimer, age 85, of Circleville passed away on December 6, 2018 at his residence.  Franklin was born on April 4, 1933 in Jackson Township, Circleville.  He was the son of Omer Franklin and Edith M. (Dumm) Seimer.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth H. (Hill) Seimer, December 18, 1991, his brothers James A. of Orient and Grove City, Richard T. (Ruth) of Circleville, sisters Jean C. Bach of Washington C.H., Irene M. Wilson of Circleville, and Mary E. Anderson of Darbydale.  Franklin is survived by his daughters, Belinda S. Seimer of Hilliard, Sherri R. Reed , O.D. (David) of Hilliard, brother George B. (Wanda) of Kingston, sister-in-law, Mrs. Richard T. (Ruth) Seimer; beloved friend and caregiver Nancy C. Ott, of Circleville and her daughters Stephanie Ott, M.D. of Carroll, Jacki (Kevin) Sciulli of Worthington, grandchildren Gabriela Seimer, Quentin and Olivia Sciulli and by many nephews, nieces and many dear friends.  He graduated from Circleville High School in 1951 and attended the Ohio State University.  He was a former member of Pontius United Methodist Church and served as President of the Trustee Board, Chairman of the Church Building Committee and many other positions.  He was currently a member of the Circleville Presbyterian Church.  He retired from General Electric Circleville Lamp plant where he worked for 38 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.  He was a former President, Vice-President, and member of the Logan Elm School Board for 12 years.  He also was very active in support groups of the school system.  He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict 1953-1955.  He was honored to have his portrait on the 100th Pumpkin Show Mural.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-6 p.m.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Pontius UMC Ruth H.
