Franklin Delano Stroup, 91, of Stoutsville, passed away March 13, 2025 in Pickaway Manor. He was born on February 28, 1934 in South Salem, OH, the son of William and Hazel (Forsythe) Stroup. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. He worked at Manna Pro for 46 years, retiring in 1996 to enjoy his hobbies of fishing, yard sales, old marbles and fish fry’s. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Laura (Shull) Stroup; son, Larry Stroup; brothers, Brian Stroup, Edward Stroup and Raymond Stroup; sisters, Mabel Watts, Betty Wilkes, Naomi Donaldson, Edith Daniels, Juanita Hughes, Janet Buskirk and Mary Stroup. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Julia) Stroup of Fayetteville, TX and Charles (Lora) Stroup of Stoutsville; grandchildren, Philip Stroup of Amanda, James Stroup of Springfield, David (Jessica) Stroup of Lancaster and Shannon (Zachary) Mager of Cincinnati; great grandchildren, Brayden Stroup of Lancaster and Jamison Mager of Cincinnati and sister, Alice Jo Stroup of Lancaster. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday March 19, 2025 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Ty Myers officiating. Burial will be in Browns Chapel Cemetery.
