Frederick Stires

Frederick T. Stires, 90, of Circleville died on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. He was born on May 25, 1924 in Mount Sterling to Thomas and Mabel (Riley) Stires. Frederick was a WWII Army Veteran, a member of Circleville First Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a retired truck driver of National Transit. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Marylou Ladley and brothers, Willis, William, Robert, Pearl, Eldon, Ronald and Seymourlee Stires. Frederick is survived by his wife, Freda Mae (Holton) Stires, children, Dan (Drusilla) Stires of Pataskala, Victor (Kathy) Stires of Grove City, Bill (Julene) and Sheila (Jack) Brown both of Circleville, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and by brothers, Lloyd and Donald Stires both of Mount Sterling. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ashville Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastors Don Blankenship and Kenneth Fuller officiating. Burial to follow in Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Sterling. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 2-4 and from 6-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Ashville Church of Christ in Christian Union, 420 Long Street, Ashville. Wellman Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
