Frederick Wittich

Frederick “Fred” Edward Wittich, 69 of Circleville, passed away Jan. 16, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Janet, sister, Lois Taddiken, children, April (Mark) Hoffman, Andrew (Billie) Welch and Fran (Jay) Saunders and grandchildren, Doria, Laina and Abigail, several nieces, nephews and cousins and brothers-in-law, Roger (Sissy) and Gary (Betty) Burggraf. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Frances. Fred is best known as the fourth generation proprietor if Wittich’s Candy Shop in Circleville. He was also a man of strong faith, a proud Army veteran and retiree of the Circleville Fire Department. Fred enjoyed exploring the country with his family in his camper, including a once in a lifetime adventure to Alaska in 2013 and relaxing in the back yard around the campfire. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at 10:30 am at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will follow in the Forest Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
