Galen J. Gozdan, 68, of Circleville passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014. He was born October 8, 1946 in Canal Fulton, Ohio to Stephen J. and Mary (Butler) Gozdan. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Michael Gozdan and brother-in-law; Mike Good. Galen, a kind and gentle spirit, passed on with his adoring wife, Connie, by his side after a sudden illness, at Riverside Hospital. Left to carry on his legacy of love for God and one another is, wife, Connie (Good) Gozdan, daughters; Jennifer (John) Leavell, Heather (Joshua Lee) Bynum, son; Josh Drake, grandsons; Elijah and Gabriel Leavell, beloved granddaughter, Isabella Grace Drake who resided with her “Pop Pop”, brothers; Alex (Tina) Gozdan, Robin (Mimi) Gozdan, sister; Joy (Rick) Mospens, special nieces; Michele Seymour and Jenniffier Freshwaters, Rachel Charles, dear friend; Dean Whitman of Las Vegas, special sister-in-law; Gerry Good; sister-in-laws; Donna Orihood, Freda White, Roberta Beaber, Cindy Foreman, and Krista Mitchell, special aunt; Mary Catherine Good and by several nieces and nephews. Galen proudly served his country as a Seal in the U.S. Navy. His love for this country was true and loyal. He was retired from Ameritech and Embarq. Galen made a difference in this world for the better. He always gave his best. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wellman Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call on Friday from 5-7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Nicholas Drive Church of God (Youth Camp or Southwest Indian Mission).
