Garnet Reichelderfer

Garnet Caroline Van Buskirk Reichelderfer, 100, of Circleville, died May 23, 2011 at Brown Memorial Nursing Home. She was born April 22, 1911 in Kinnikinnick, the daughter of Emmitt and Sarah (Bell) Van Buskirk. She was a 1928 graduate of Circleville High School, graduated in 1930 from Bliss College, member of Community United Methodist Church since 1924, Past Matron-Circleville Chapter #90 OES, Past Chief Majors Temple 516 Pythian Sisters, Past Grand Chief & Past Supreme Representative Pythian Sisters of Ohio, Past Regent St. Clampa Santha Nomada of Aurudaka-Clearwater, FL, dual Member and Past Chief Clearwater Temple 32-Florida, Pickaway Co. Historical Society and was a 22 year dedicated Pumpkin Show volunteer. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Walden Reichelderfer. She is survived by her cousin, David (Judy) Buskirk, MI; sister-in-law, Anna Floyd of WA; nephews, J.D. Reichelderfer of CA and Terry Reichelderfer of TX; special friends, Isabel Archer, Robert & Judy Lust, Lucille Barninger, Mary Carter, Enid Miller, Phyllis Leseth, Dan McLennan, Hazel Wilson, Suzie Davis and family, Dr. Hugh Dresbach, Hugh B., Elizabeth, Andrew and Miles Dresbach and Arnold (Edith) Holbrook. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday May 27, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Rev. Barry Burns and Rev. Paul Elswick officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Eastern Star service will be 8:00 p.m. and Pythian Sister service will be 8:15 on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Brown Memorial Nursing Home.
