Gary Sowers

Gary L. Sowers, 58, of Chillicothe, OH died unexpectedly 7/14/2013 at Berger Hospital, Circleville. He was born to Paul and Shirley (Huffman) Sowers on 5/26/55. Gary graduated from Teays Valley in 1974. Gary married Cindy McNichols in 1997. Gary began working at Kenworth Truck Company in 1976 and made many lasting friendships. He recently retired from farming after many enjoyable years to allow more time to spend with family and friends. Gary attended Brookside Church, loved to travel and looked forward to new experiences. He had an easygoing nature and beautiful smile that will be sorely missed in the lives of those who loved him. Gary is survived by his spouse, Cindy; mother, Shirley of Circleville, brothers, Ron (Karen) and Mike of Ashville, Paul (Nancy) of Laurelville, sisters, Cheryl (Doug) Goode of Circleville and Karen McDevitt of New Holland, children, Ashley (Terry) Wasley of California, Brian (Alicia) Ely of Utah and daughter-in-law, Anna Cheng of New York City; grandchildren, Will and Allison Ely and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Paul and son, Zach. Viewing will be held at 5-8 PM Thursday at Wellman Funeral Home, 1455 N. Court, Circleville. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday July 19, 2013 at Brookside Church,2215 Egypt Pike, Chillicothe, OH 45601. Private burial will be held by the family.
