George Clifton

George O. Clifton, 67, of Amanda, died February 16, 2010 at Berger Hospital. He was born December 14, 1942 in Circleville, the son of George R. and Betty (Weaver) Clifton. He was U.S. Navy veteran and an avid deer and mushroom hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Edith Forsythe and brother, Bobby Clifton. He is survived by his wife, Judy (Hardman) Clifton; children, Todd D. (Carol) Clifton, Tammy J. (Tony) Ghiassi, Kimberly A. (Jeff Stewart) Belcher, Kevin (Melissa) Clifton and Tommy G. (Karen VanFossen) Clifton; 13 grandchildren, Corry (Laura), Eric, Mitchell and Zack Belcher, Hilary, Brandi, Sara, Cody, Tabitha and Tia Clifton, Chase Van Fossen, Kaylee and Ashley Haughn; 3 great grandchildren, Halee Belcher, Clayton Groff and Alexandria Warner; 6 sisters, Marsha Smith, Sandra (Tim) Couch, Becky (Joey) McNichols, Judy (Albert) Benak, Carol (Dave) Neihman and Ruth (Ted) Wells; 4 brothers, Mike (Mary Jane), Dick (Wilma), Willie, Peter (Laurie) Clifton; special friend, Glenford Mathews, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 20, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery with military graveside honors. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
