George Sayre

George “Zeke” Sayre, 60 of South Bloomingville, died June 28, 2011 at Grant Medical Center. He was born August 16, 1950 in Franklin County, the son of Dorsel and Pauline (Graham) Sayre. He was an U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Barbara Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Georgia (Hunt) Sayre; sons, Michael E. Sayre of S. Bloomingville, William Ray Barker, Jr. of Dade City, FL and Anthony L. Barker of S. Bloomingville; grandchildren, Cora, Mikila, Leah, Danielle, Tristian, Brittany and Lindsey; brother, James Sayre; sister, Shirley Sayre and special aunt, Mary Knightstep. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 2, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville, with Pastor Jim Vandagriff officiating. Burial will be in Tarlton Cemetery at a later date.
