George Shannon

George R. Shannon, 64, of Chillicothe passed away on April 5, 2022.  He was born on February 1, 1958 in Columbus to George and Ruth Ann (Lanthorn) Shannon.  His favorite hobbies were dirt track racing and bee keeping.  He was preceded in death by his mother.  George is survived by his father George W. Shannon, children George R. (Brandy) Shannon Jr., Dawn (Bob) Thomas, Tara Scurlock, Michael Shannon, Brooke (John) Helms, 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, siblings Ronald (Jenny) Shannon, Cindy (John) Collett, Linda Kretzer, Roger (Michelle) Shannon, Lisa (Kenny) Williams and by numerous cousins and other relatives.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Muhlenberg Township Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11-1.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
