George Wiggins

George H. Wiggins, 90, of S. Bloomingville, died March 10, 2010 at his residence. He was born January 27, 1920 in Hocking County, the son of Samuel and Mary (Seitz) Wiggins. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII; retired from Columbia Gas as a safety administrator with 30 plus years and attended Laurelville Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Bertha M. (Johnston) Wiggins; 2nd wife, Patty (Johnson) Wiggins; brothers, Melvin, Wayne and Virgil Wiggins and sisters, Irma Bowsher, Agnes Woodward, Pansy Radcliff, Nina Julian, Blanche Goss and Mahala Lindsey. He is survived by his children, Jennifer (Harry) Stump and Jerry (Peggy) Wiggins of S. Bloomingville and Joseph Wiggins of Logan; 7 grandchildren, Darren (Leslie) Stump, Tracy (Tammi) Stump, Tad (Cindy) Stump, Georganna Jones, Jason (Becky) Stump, Jeremy (Olga) Wiggins and Bethany (Whaley) Hayward; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren and sister, Goldie Bowman. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 13, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville, with Pastor Steve Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Tarlton Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Laurelville Church of God.
