Georgia Hardesty

Mrs. Georgia Hardesty, 84, of Laurelville passed away peacefully at Heartland Nursing Home on Friday, February 10, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born June 28, 1932 in Laurelville, Ohio, she was the daughter of George Leasure and Gladys (Thimmes) Leasure. Georgia was raised by her grandparents Jacob and Mary Thimmes. She was married to Lewis Hardesty who died in 1994. Georgia retired from the US Shoe Corporation Factory. Surviving are daughter, Kathy Knece of Chillicothe and sons, Bob Hardesty of Chillicothe and Randy (Rita) Hardesty of Laurelville, grandchildren Candace (Mark) Imler of Kingston and Clint Hardesty of Columbus, and a sister Bette Thurston of Adelphi, aunt Virginia Thimmes of Chillicothe and by a host of nieces and nephews. A sister Mildred Ricketts is deceased. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home in Laurelville with Pastor Jim Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in Laurelville on Monday from 11:00 until the time of service.
