Gerald Arthur Stevens

Gerald Arthur Stevens passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, December 13, 2018, in his home.  He was a son of the late Ralph and Nellie (Vanfossen) Stevens.  He was borne on June 23, 1942, in South Bloomingville, Ohio; and resided in Hocking County. Gerald was an amazing businessman having a couple of successful businesses with great accomplishments throughout his life from his wheelchair of 53 years.  It would be an honor for anyone to have known him.  Gerald was an awesome father of Gerald Dean (Connie Spackey) Stevens and Judy Marie Stevens. Gerald, will be sadly missed by his special friend Brenda Graham together for several years. Gerald had a very special brother, Donald Stevens of McArthur, Ohio, whom was not just a sibling but a son, best friend and most of his life inseparable. Additionally survived by siblings:  Irene Lewis, Jack Stevens, Juanita Davis, Wilma Guess, and Joe Stevens.  Loved tremendously by all his grandchildren:  Thomas Edmond, Deanna Marie Tatman, Larry Dean Rooker, Jr., Bradley James Amerine, and Brian James Rooker.  He enjoyed his precious time with his great grandchildren: Kilee, Lindsey, and Wade Tatman; Rilee, Talon, and Kenzlee Edmond.  Proceeded in death by Former Wife: Jessie (Stevens) Geckler, Brother: Ronald Stevens, and Brother-in-Law: Orville Lewis. Viewing will be held at Wellman Funeral Home in Laurelville, Ohio from 2 -4 and 6-8 on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.  Funeral Services will be held at Chestnut Grove Church on Thursday, December 20, 2018, viewing at 11 with funeral service following at 1:00 P.M.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
