Gerald Burris

Gerald L. Burris, 77, of Circleville, died Oct. 29, 2011 in Chillicothe. He was born June 6, 1934 in Ashville, the son of Sanford and Ora (Gloyd) Burris. Gerald was retired yard foreman at Cellar Lumber and a driver for PICCA. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Millard Hart, brothers, Dick, Roger and Kenneth Burris and sister, Mary Battles. Gerald is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Johnson) Burris, children, Tammy, Teresa and Gerald Burris Jr., grandchildren, Brandi Jefferson, Aaron Ragland and Lisa McCarter, great grandchildren, Kalaeo and Joseph Aguon, brothers, Dale (Dora) Burris, Bradley (Mary) Hart, Ralph (Barb) Hart, Jim Hart and Ted (Sharon) Hart, sister-in-law, Phylis Burris and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Greg Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 - 8 pm Monday.
