Geraldine Hollabaugh

Geraldine Y. Hollabaugh, 77, of Circleville, died April 9, 2013 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. She was born in Sunbury PA. She is survived by her husband, James R. (Jim) Hollabaugh of 57 years; daughter, Cheryl A. (Steven) Sterling of Walworth, NY; grandchildren, Sara, Laura, Chris and Zachary; daughter, Linda G. (Willie) McNeill of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren, Amber, Jarrett and Paige; daughter, Diane L. (John) Kemp of Canandaigua, NY; grandchildren, Brandon and Shelby. She attended Duke University and graduated from Geneseo State University in Geneseo, NY with a degree in elementary education. After raising 3 daughters, she worked for many years as a social worker in Canandaigua, NY and Franklin County Children Services in Columbus, OH retiring in 1992, the same year her husband retired from JC Penney store in Circleville. She enjoyed traveling to many places and cruising, having visited all 50 states. They celebrated their 50th anniversary with a Mediterranean cruise and spent several weeks in Spain. She especially enjoyed several visits to the Hawaiian Islands. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to 9 grandchildren and will be missed by all. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 am the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Barry Burns officiating.
