Gladys Warner, 91, of Washington C.H. passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012. She was born on April 4, 1920 in Pike County to Charles and Mary (Perkins) Mathews. She was a member of Southside Church, Beta Circle Child Conservation League, a life member of VFW Auxiliary #4964 Burnett-Ducey, former member of Fayette County Night Owls CB Club, and retired from Washington City Schools where she was a cook.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Warner on March 18, 2008 and by two brothers and five sisters.
Mrs. Warner is survived by her daughter, Wilma (Jim) Goble of Waverly, three granddaughters, Sharma (Jeff) Davis of Waverly, Cheryl (Rick) Liming of Chillicothe, Lisa (Greg) Gary of Ray, Ohio, one grandson, Larry (Cindy) Goble of Waverly, 10 great grandchildren, 12 great, great grandchildren, three stepchildren, Roger and Timmy Warner, Cynthia Lemaster, all of Washington C.H., two brothers, John and Carl Mathews of Waverly and by four sisters, Grace Coahran, of Urbana, Dorothy Lightle and Barbara Keller both of Waverly and Bessie Carson of Piketon and by special friends, Kathy Goldsberry and Katie Seymour.
Funeral services for Mrs. Warner will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home with Pastors Danny Dodds and Ray Vance officiating. Burial to follow in Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
