Landis, Harold James, 83 of Laurelville, Ohio went to be with the Lord at 10:00 am on Friday, October 04, 2013. He was predeceased by his brother Roy Howard. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Halliburton Landis, brother Alan (Mary) of Richmond, VA., his brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Beverly Halliburton of Nashville, TN. Children: Barry (Sarah), Brian (Linda), Bruce (Sheila), Brad (Julie), Steve (Betty) Billups, Patrick Billups, Timothy (Sandra) Billups, Joy Ferguson, Teresa (Jayme) Johnston, David Billups (deceased), 23 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many loved ones across the nation and beyond. Harold was born in Irwin, PA on July 30, 1930. He served with the 1st Cavalry Division in Korea and was a Purple Heart recipient. For many years he owned and operated Landis Auto Sales in Circleville, OH. As a craftsman, he built church altars and other items for local congregations. He brought joy to many people with his unique birdhouse creations. Dear to his heart was the music of The Kid’s Club at Laurelville Trinity U.M. Church. Throughout his life, he led many lives to the Lord. Funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday October 7, 2013 at Laurelville Church of God. Burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery.
