Hazel Thomas

Hazel S. Thomas 88 of Lancaster died March 27, 2010 in Pataskala. She was born Nov. 25, 1922 in Pickaway County the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Heeter) Shaffer. Hazel was a member of the Amanda Presbyterian Church and Stoutsville Pythian Sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Grant Thomas in 1986. Hazel is survived by a brother, Robert Shaffer of Pataskala and sisters, Marjorie Jean Oravec of Columbus and Dotie Fraunfelter of Amanda. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 31, 2010 from 10 am until noon at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Graveside services will follow at the Amanda Twp. Cemetery at 12:30 pm with Rev. Elizabeth Tietz officiating. Family requests memorial contributions to the Amanda Presbyterian Church.
