Helen Mayfield

Helen Mayfield, 91, of Circleville, died September 26, 2009 at Brown Memorial Nursing Home. She was born August 5, 1918 in Greenfield, OH, the daughter of Harley and Anna (Steele) Murphy. She attended Mt. Olivet UMC, Arlington, VA, 1936 Greenfield McClain High School, loved to travel and was a member of Circleville Church of Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Odell Mayfield; brothers, Harley, Robert, Everett and Glenn Murphy and sisters, Florence Wolfe, Lelah Bancroft and Oletha Evans. She is survived by her niece, Anita (Dan) Conkel of Amanda and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday October 1, 2009 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Washington D.C.
