Herbert Chester Vanover, 82, of Circleville, died September 11, 2011 at Logan Elm Health Care. The son of James and Mary (Hay) Vanover was born on March 5, 1929 in Louisa, Kentucky. Mr. Vanover was a veteran and served in the Korean War, he was a member of the River of Life Church of God in Circleville and life member of VFW Post 3331. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy (Thompson) Vanover; brothers, Carl, Donald, Billy, Jack and Junior and step mother, Mildred (Yaple) Vanover who raised him most of his life. He is survived by his children, Rick (Jackie) Vanover, Butch (Regina) Vanover and Kim (Jim) Hartsell all of Circleville, Mark (Reiko) Vanover of Klamath Falls, OR and Sandy (George) Ross of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Brock and Nathan Vanover, Nikki Gilmore, Andrea Diehl, Angela Bigerton, Emily and Jessica Vanover, Shawn, James and Caitlyn Ross, Sarah Mogan and Tim Amann; great grandchildren, Andrew, Blake and Taylor Vanover, Kimber Herron, Chase Gilmore, Kerrigan Reno, Brennen Ford, Owen Diehl, Ryan Lawson and Chelsea Amann; brother, Jimmy (Eilene) Vanover; sister, Mary (Earl) Nelson, along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 15, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Pastor Donald Combs officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday. Special thanks to the staff at Logan Elm Health Care and Heartland Hospice. Memorial contributions may be made to Logan Elm Health Care Activities Dept.
