Hilda Francis

Hilda L. Francis, 89, of Circleville, died January 29, 2007 at Berger Hospital. She was born July 3, 1917 in Vinton County, the daughter of George and Ella (Stevens) Starkey. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice Francis; daughter, Clara Parker; sons, Robert, Buddy and Theodore Francis; sisters, Roberta Cottrell, Eva Noble, Bea Wallace and Grace Frasier; brothers, Bill and Charlie Starkey. She is survived by her sons, George (Gail) Francis of Destin, FL and Richard Francis of FL; daughters, Louise Smith of Circleville, Shirley Huffer of Lancaster, Thelma (Rick) Yaeger of Ashville, Nora (Mike) Kitchen of Columbus and Susan (Michael) Gudell of TX; 24 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and sister, Betty (Chuck) Noggle of Ashville. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday February 2, 2007 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
