Inez Leist

Biography Inez M. Leist, 90, of Stoutsville, passed from this life to be with her Lord on Monday, February 14, 2011 at her residence with family by her side. She was the daughter of Howard and Bessie (Robinson) Lane. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oakley H. Leist; sons, Myron and Donald Leist and daughter-in-law, Ellen K. Leist. Inez is survived by her daughter, Jeanine (Larry) McDowell; grandsons, Bill (Kathy) and Brian Leist, Bart (Rachel) and Tim (Emily) Leist; granddaughter, Amy (Jay) Elsea; great grandsons, Cody, Braden and Evan Leist; great granddaughters, Bethany Leist, Braya and Kaiya Elsea, Lauren Leist, Maddie and Lexie Snider and Allie and Abbie Leist; daughter-in-law Belinda Leist and several nieces and nephews. Inez was the secretary for several years at Washington Elementary School. She was church organist at Emmett Chapel Church for 15 years and taught private piano and organ lessons from her home. Inez was a devoted wife , mother and friend. Our loss will be truly Heaven’s gain. She will be sadly missed by her family. Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at 10:30 am the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Dr. Doyne Wiggins and Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2 – 8 pm. Family requests memorial contributions to Berger hospice or St. Paul United Methodist Church.
