Irene Harter

Irene L. Woodrum Harter, 72, of Circleville, died August 3, 2009 at Mt. Carmel West. She was born September 27, 1936 in Osgood, IN, the daughter of Howard and Mary Elizabeth (VanVolkenburg) Rife. She was retired from the State of Ohio, Bureau of Workers Comp. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Joseph Woodrum, Sr. and 2nd husband, Russell Harter; daughter, Barbara Legg and sister, Georgia Gaines. She is survived by her children, Joseph (JoAnn) Woodrum, III of Grove City, Cathy (Ralph Reed) Thompson of Stoutsville, Melissa (Nathaniel) Reed of Chillicothe and Tina M. Hart of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Short of Ashville and Carolyn Blankenship of McArthur; son-in-law, David Legg of Circleville and brother-in-law, Herb Gaines of Baltimore, OH. Funeral service will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday August 6, 2009 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
