Jack T. Cooper, 70, of Circleville, passed away Wednesday January 11, 2012 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. He was born November 7, 1941 in Columbus, the son of Lionel and Marie Cooper and grew up in Wellston. Jack proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era. He was a self-employed Automobile Inspector for various Extended Warranty Companies and an Avid E-bay user. Through the years he has been the Owner and Operator of many Auto Repair Businesses in Columbus, Athens and Circleville. Jack loved racing cars on dirt tracks when he was younger and was a Nascar fan and enthusiast. He was unarguably Dale Earnhardt, Sr.’s biggest fan. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Gregory Cooper. He is survived by wife, Margi (Booth) Cooper; son, David (Amy) Cooper; daughter, Jacci (Paul) Norris all of Circleville; grandchildren, Matthew Cooper; Cory, Cole, Calbert and Caralina Cooper, Broderick (Catherine), Briley, Breyden and Breah Norris; great-grandson, Broderick “Brock” Norris, Jr.; brother-in-law, Bill (Fran) Booth; Aunt Olive (Ed) Dye and many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends may call at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville from 4 – 8 p.m., Sunday January 15, 2012. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2012, with Pastor Wendell Brown officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
