James W. Blair, 92, went to be with Jesus at 4 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He was born on April 18, 1920 in Buena Vista, Ohio to Ivan Henry and Edna (Buck) Blair. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from Cincinnati Milacron in 1982.
He married Virginia G. (Leeth) Blair who passed away in 1989. On December 18, 1993 he married Virginia A. Niemiec in Hobe Sound, Florida where they resided before moving back to Washington Court House in June of 2009.
Mr. Blair was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Virginia and son William (Billy Gale), his sister, Wilma Haines and one brother Kenneth Blair.
He is survived by his wife, son, James (Christine) Blair, daughter-in-law, Debi Blair, sister, Ruth Anna Hisey, all of Washington C.H., brother, Ivan Jr. of Columbus, five grandchildren, Lisa Long, Cindy Miller, Courtney, Chad and Brian Blair, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Blair will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home with burial to follow in Washington Cemetery with military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 and again on Friday from 9:00 until the time of service at 10:00.
