James T. “Junior” Cottrell, went peacefully to be with the Lord on April 2, 2015. James was born January 30, 1939 in Circleville, the son of James T. and Dorothy (Ward) Cottrell. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Thelma Jean Wallace. James had worked many different jobs through the years until he was forced to retire due to health problems. James had been a member of the Church of Christ on North Court St in Circleville. He enjoyed going fishing when he felt like going, enjoyed being around his grandchildren and enjoyed doing and going places with his wife, Joyce who he is survived by. He is also survived by his 3 sons, Adam (Vern), Jamie (Bernito) and Eric (Brenda) Cottrell; 3 daughters, Connie Waites of Hillsboro, Heather (Rob Yoder) Chapman and Jamie (Adam) Rainy of Circleville; 22 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mae Crockett and Dolly (Lee) Butterbaugh; numerous nieces, nephews and the many friends that he had made. Funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday April 6, 2015 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 am-12 pm Monday at the funeral home. A special thank you to the staff at Brown Memorial and Heartland Hospice for the loving care James received and special thank you to Chaplain Jim Ferrell. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home in James’s name.
