James W. Ford, 88, of Circleville, died March 1, 2013 at his residence. He was born February 24, 1925 in Circleville, the son of James and Audrey Ford. He was a WWII Army veteran and self-employed as an auctioneer. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eloise (Leach) Ford; son, Earl “Butch” Ford; brothers, Clyde “Robert” Ford and Thomas N. “Tink” Ford and sisters, Ruth J. “Pooch” Haddox, Lucille “PeeWee” Stephens and Ruby F. Little. He is survived by his grandchildren, Damon Ford, Christopher Ford and Lori Browning; great grandchildren, Cody and Dusty Ford; brother, Charles “Popeye” Ford and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday March 7, 2013 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Edward “Ted” Leach officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital or Berger Hospice. The family would like to thank Berger Hospice and personal caregivers, Evelyn Johnson and Carolyn Purdue.
