James Lockard

James Lockard, 81, of Circleville passed away on March 6, 2018.  He was born on June 4, 1936 in Circleville to Ray and Mattie (Hanley) Lockard.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Raymond Jr. and Donald Lockard.  He had worked for Eshelmans and was also a Pickaway County Sheriff Deputy.  James is survived by his wife of 60 years Sue (Mowery) Lockard, daughter Christina (Russ) Pinnell of Georgia, granddaughter Nicole Banister of Alabama, brother Charles “Butch” (Fran) Lockard and sister Dorothy Smith both of  Sugar Grove and by several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Jeff Palmer officiating.  Burial will follow in Hitler Ludwig Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
