James Stauffer

James E. Stauffer, 88, of Circleville, died September 20, 2013 at West Moreland Place. He was born on December 25, 1924 in Ross County, the son of Marshall and Anna (Chester) Stauffer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Hancher; son, Rodney Stauffer; brothers, Howard “Bub” Stauffer, Bobby Stauffer and Donald Stauffer. He is survived by his son, James A. (Betty) Stauffer of Circleville; daughter, Debbie (Jim) Davis of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Todd Davis, Shelli (Wes) Bowles, Kim (Rob) Schenz and Sean (Jennifer) Stauffer; 7 great grandchildren and sister, Joanne (Leon) Winget of Columbus. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday September 25, 2013 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Harrison Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
