James E Thompson June 12, 1941, born to the late Ace (Mary G) Thompson passed away on March 23, 2023, at his home. Survived by his loving wife Carol and son’s Terry (Ashley) Thompson and Toby Thompson and one granddaughter Annice N Thompson.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Joey Swiggeth, brothers David (Ellen) Thompson, Ted Thompson and nephews Rick and Ronnie Swiggeth. He has several nieces and nephews and his special dogs, Piper, Domino, and Shadow.
Jim served 4 years in the Army stationed in Germany. Jim retired from J.A. Croson (Columbus) after 50 years as a commercial plumber. Jim was a member of Amvets, American Legion, and a honorary guard for the American Legion. Jim served as a VIP driver for the sheriff’s department of Labelle, Florida. Jim directed traffic for DAV at the local flea markets in LaBelle, Florida.
Jim loved to ride his motorcycle and drive his golf cart with his dogs. Jim enjoyed life with his wife and his dogs shadow and domino.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 29that 7pm at Circle of Light Worship Center 6985 Tarlton Road, Circleville, Ohio 43113, with Pastor Curt Combs and Pastor Jason Combs officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29th 4:30 pm to 7pm. at the church. The family would like to thank the Veteran’s Affairs orange team and home care team for care and compassion.
