James Richard Weaver, 83 of Circleville, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his home. He was born November 5, 1929 in Dayton, to the late William and Marvene Weaver and was a graduate of Walnut Twp. High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict and retired from DuPont with 34 years of service. Jim was a member of Pontius United Methodist Church where he had served as a Trustee and an assistant Sunday School Teacher. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Myrtle Weaver; children, Lynne (Chris) Stephens and Kevin Weaver; granddaughter, Jill (Travis) Ebert; and great grandchildren, Cord Ebert and Calla Ebert; brothers, Bill (Sharon) Weaver and David Weaver. Jim loved sports, especially baseball and basketball. The best time of his life was attending sporting events the great grandchildren participated in. Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville and one hour before the service with Pastor John Ash on Thursday October 24, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memory Garden. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Berger Hospice who has the family’s unending gratitude for their excellent care of our loved one for the past seven weeks.
