**Obituary for Janice Elaine Riffel Hardman**
Janice Riffel Hardman, born on May 9, 1946, in Circleville, Ohio, passed away on January 11, 2025. She was the cherished daughter of Harold Lyman Riffel and Nora Louise (Smith) Riffel, both of whom preceded her in death. Also preceding her were her brother, Harold Edward Riffel, and her beloved husband, Leonard Hardman, whom she married in 1964 and lost in 1977.
Janice is survived by her two sons, Timothy Lynn Hardman and Ty Lyman Hardman (Carrie), and leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Timothy (Amber) Spaulding, Maritza Tier (George Rizk), Lauren Wise, A.J. Spaulding, Brianna Murray, Jerod Murry, Jacinda (Jace) Noe, Madison Hardman, Conner Kirkendall, Shea Smith, and Tiara Smith. She also had the joy of great-grandchildren: Daltyn, Bentley, and Leylynd Spaulding; Bradley Danison; Isaiah Dennis; Jaxson; Evalyn; Yazmyn; Beryn Rizk; and Briely and Briella Noe. Sadly, two grandchildren, Kelby Hardman and Devin Smith, and one great-grandchild, Kody Hardman, preceded her in death.
A graduate of Logan Elm High School in 1964, Janice devoted many years to helping the homeless through various church organizations, embodying a spirit of compassion and service to others.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Wellman Funeral Home in Circleville, with burial to follow at Green Summit Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
