Jean Hartley

Jean E. Hartley, 84, of Laurelville, died December 12, 2009 at Circleville Care & Rehab. She was born May 15, 1925 in Clark Co. the daughter of the late Harley E. and Carrie B. (Mouser) Gilliand. She was preceded in death by 1 grandchild, brothers Lee, Ned, Marlin, Francis and Paul Gilliand; sisters Joan Earhle, Dorothy Gilliand, Esther Cochran, Eileen Gundolf, Lucille and Loretta Gilliand. Jean is survived by her children Dan (Wilma) Hartley of Mechanicsburg, Linda Nesser of Wellston, Frank Hartley of Laurelville, Virginia Shaw of Lancaster, Chris Hartley of S. Bloomingville, Bruce (Sherry) Hartley of Stoutsville, Clarice “Dara” Arietta of Logan, Diane (Wendell) Coffey of MI and Kirk Hartley of Laurelville; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Kester of Sarasota, FL., Effie June Branam of Largo, FL., Maxine Hoffman of Urbana and Rosemary Demmey of Springfield and loved by many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday December 15, 2009 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville. Entombment will be in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday.
