Jean West

Jean L. West, 87 of Circleville, went home to be with the Lord, June 12, 2011 at Traditions of Chillicothe. She was born February 13, 1924 in Dayton, the daughter of Joseph and Berniece (Gickler) Grote. She was a Mount Carmel School of Nursing graduate, and was a registered nurse from Berger Hospital and VA Chillicothe; a cadet nurse in Corp at Great Lakes for 6 months; member of the Circleville Church of the Nazarene and loved gardening and flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Orville C. West who passed away in 2001 and sisters, June Wolfe and Virginia Downs. She is survived by her children, Jeannelle (Lee) Schlegler of Circleville, Vicki West of Chillicothe and Rick (Becky) West of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Tommy (Barb) Spiller, Ryan (Lauren) Sanscrainte, Jared (Sarah) Sanscrainte and Marcus West; step grandson, Robert (Jen) McLaughlin; great granddaughter, Macie Spiller and sister, JoAnne (Gene) Mixon of Ft.Walton Beach, FL. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 16, 2011 at the Circleville Church of the Nazarene with Rev. William Hill officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association or In Care Hospice, 681 E. 3rd.
