John Corne

John D. “Don” Corne, 90, of Laurelville passed away January 30, 2015 at his residence. Born March 29, 1924 to the late Dustin and Bessie (Woolvere) Corne. He is preceded in death by his wife; Tessie (Harper) M. Corne, one twin son; one grandson, and one great-grandson, one son-in-law, and by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Surviving are his children, John Jr. and wife Cathy of Laurelville, Larry and wife Cheryl of South Bloomingville, Peggy and husband Jay of Roanoke, VA, Nancy and husband Dave Hatzo of South Bloomingville and Penny Parker at home, one brother, Jack and wife from London, Ohio, sister; Virginia and husband Bill Platt of Circleville, 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson and by several nieces and nephews. John was a member of Bethel Methodist Church and was retired from Metal Bestos in Logan, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Salt Creek Valley Community Church with Reverends Jim Vandagriff and Michael Menrath officiating. Friends may call at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville on Tuesday from 11-1 and 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Laurelville.
