John Current

John E. Current, 77, of Circleville, died August 12, 2010 in Columbus. He was born Aug. 27, 1933 in Columbus, the son of Floyd and Mary (Swick) Current. He graduated West High School 1952 and Ohio State University 1957 with Bachelor of Science and Education and received his Masters from Xavier. John taught math, science and phys. ed. in Columbus Schools from 1957 to 1987. He was preceded in death by parents; wife Shirley and daughter, Kathy Smith. He is survived by his children; Linda (Steve) Wyrick of Dayton, Vikki (Robert) Roemer of New Mexico and Robert Current of Arizona, son-in-law William “Bill” Smith of Circleville, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brothers, James of California and Floyd Current Jr. of Columbus and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 12:00 noon Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating.. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
