John Rockhold

John Rockhold, 67, of Washington Court House passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012. He was born on July 27, 1944 in Fayette County to William and Elizabeth (Shonkwiler) Rockhold. He was a Master Sergeant with the Ohio Air National Guard, former Washington Court House Fire Chief, Administrator of Fayette County Life Squad and a volunteer with Concord-Greene Fire Department. He was past president of Ohio Fire Chiefs Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Rockhold is survived by his wife Sandra (Cockerill) Rockhold of Washington Court House, one son, Robert (Catherine) Rockhold of Columbus, one daughter, Anita (Tim) Rumfield of Orient, grandchildren, Jonathan, Brendan, Jillian, Robert and Thomas, one brother, Ronald (Susan) Rockhold of Sabina, and by two sisters, Wileen (Robert) Stackhouse of Washington C.H. and Nancy (Martin) Roberts of Columbus.
Memorial services for Mr. Rockhold will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at noon at Grace United Methodist Church. A gathering will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon.
Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Dayton.
