John Tipton

John A. Tipton, 76, of Circleville passed away July 1, 2016. He was born on October 6, 1939 in Columbus to Marion and Audrey (Dixon) Tipton. John served in the Ohio Army National Guard. Had been a missionary and teacher at the Island of Dominica, West Indies and Papua, New Guinea and had pastored several churches in Ohio, Michigan, New York and Indiana. John was preceded in death by his parents. John is survived by his wife; Emalie (Hayes) Tipton, children; John A. “Dusty”, James L., David E., Esther A., Mary E. Tipton and their spouses, 8 loving grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Joseph E. and Daniel L. (Dixie) Tipton and by one sister; Ruth A. Tipton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Reber Hill Cemetery with Dr. David Lattimer officiating.
