Joyce A. Harris, 64, of Circleville died March 16, 2009 at her home with family. She was born December 14, 1944 in Columbus, the daughter of Verman “Skeeter” and Myrtle Ellen (Walker) Crosby. She was a member of the Amvets Post 2256 Ladies Auxiliary and retired from General Electric. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert L. Harris of Circleville, whom she happily married July 7, 1964; daughter, Angela R. Clark (Joe Stevenson) of Circleville; 7 grandchildren, J.R. Clark, Tony Stevenson, Madison Clark, Tristan Stevenson, J.D. Robb, Logan Stevenson and Jordan Stevenson; father, Verman “Skeeter” Crosby of Ashville; sisters, Carolyn Duncan of Ashville, Sophie (Podie) Wix of OK and Cathy (Monty) Cummings of Ashville; brothers, Tom (Dee) Ray of TX and Bruce Ray of Ashville; sister-in-law, Doris (Roy) Johnson of Circleville; niece, Cathy (Jim) Ackerman of Breman; special friend, Shirley Bobbitt and many other sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many great friends. Joyce was preceded in death by many loved ones. They include her son, Robert “Robbie” Harris II; mother, Myrtle Ellen Crosby; sister, Susan Ray; brother, Verman Crosby; sister and brother-in-law, Art and Phyllis Pickett; brother-in-law, Doug Duncan; nephew, John Harris; friends, Keith and Karen Hampp and others whom are welcoming her with open arms. Thanks to Heartland Hospice nurses and aides for their care and support to the family and patient. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday March 20, 2009 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
