Juanita June Rose Harter, 87 of Circleville, passed away on May 4th 2014 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. She was born December 17, 1926 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Othal David and Frances Rose. She graduated from South High School in Columbus on June 6, 1944. She worked various jobs in Columbus, plus the Phone Company and Senior Center in Circleville. She enjoyed reading, singing, musicals and sporting events, especially Ohio State baseball and football. In her later years, Juanita enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and beyond, on trips with the Circleville Senior Center. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters of Ohio, Majors Temple 516 in Circleville. Juanita is survived by four sons, John (Tori), Larry (Sue), Jerry (Eileen) and Raymond (Teresa); grandchildren, Erin, Nick, Brett, Andrea, Tyler; several great grandchildren; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Warren “Bud” Rose, her husband, John R. Harter, Sr., and grandson, Adam Harter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wellman Funeral Home, 1455 N. Court St. Circleville. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday May 8 and officiated by Jack Abels of the Circleville Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Circleville.
