With very sad hearts we announce the unexpected passing of beloved wife and mother Judy K Thomas age 77. She was born January 1, 1947. She is survived by spouse Merle “Butch” Thomas; daughter Marci (Henry) Sill; granddaughter Moriah (Evan) Goode; great grandson Emory Goode; sisters Pam Hollis and Sue Smith and brother Don (Theresa) Hollis. Preceeded in death by her parents Paul and Catherine (Ferguson) Hollis; sisters Ailleen Berdette and Holly Boerstler (Hollis) and brother Dennis Hollis. She was married November 30, 1981 at Circleville Ohio United Methodist Church, was a member of First Baptist Church. During her work as Activities Director in long term care she contributed greatly to not only the improvement of the residents’ lives but the wider local community. She organized and held many fundraisers and events to help food banks, clothing centers, homeless/domestic shelters and the humane society. True to her character she lovingly gave back to a community she so loved. Her proudest achievement was her work with her Alzheimer residents. She thoughtfully and patiently crafted activities to illicit even the tiniest of responses. Nothing made her happier than to give the family/friends a glimpse of their loved one. She will be deeply missed but always will be remembered for her wonderful smile, her laughter and most of all her love. To my soulmate I still say I love you but now there is no reply. As if you never left me I still hear your comforting voice. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024 at noon at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Springlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10-12. Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
