Kathryn M. (Hooks) Schleich died March 23, 2015. She was born on January 3, 1931 to John T. and Thelma (Layton) Hooks. She attended Clarksburg Schools and graduated from Atlanta High School in 1948. She married Eugene L. Schleich on September 19, 1948 who survives. She is also survived by five children; David (Melanie) Schleich, Williamsport, Brenda (Elbert) Caudill, Washington C.H., John Schleich, Williamsport; Eric (Kim) Schleich, Williamsport and Dan (Jeannie) Schleich, Washington C.H., 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and by sisters; Marjorie Sims, Chillicothe; Ellen (Charles) Rittinger, Circleville; Ruthie (Ed) James, Canal Winchester. Kathryn in addition to her parents was preceded in death by brothers and sister-in-laws; Dwight (Carolyn) Rowland, George (Pat) Rowland; sisters and brother-in-laws; Geneva (William) Rhoades, Doris (Jerry) Thomason, brother-in-law; Clyde Sims. Kathryn was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church, Williamsport Sorosis Club, and Williamsport Child Study League. Additionally she was a 54 year member of Heber Chapter #62 Eastern Star holding numerous offices and star points throughout her membership. She was worthy matron four times and held several district offices and served as Grand Page to Deputy Grand Matron in 1990 and as Grand Representative to New Hampshire in 1994 and 1995. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Springlawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Eastern Star Service will be held at 8:00 p.m.The family wants to thank everyone for their assistance and thoughts. A special thank you to the ladies at Berger Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Williamsport United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 179 Williamsport Ohio 43164 or to the Heber Chapter #62 of the Eastern Star c/o Janet Wright 25770 Plummer Road Williamsport, Ohio 43164.
