Kenneth Frank Kassner, 67, of Circleville passed away on January 25, 2025 surrounded by family. Ken was born on December 24th, 1957 in Elmhurst, Illinois to an electrician, Edward, and a school librarian, Eleanor. After graduating from Wheaton Warrenville High School in Wheaton, IL, Ken attended the College of DuPage. In 1982, Ken married his best friend, Chris (Hughes) Kassner, and they were inseparable over 42 years of marriage. The Kassner family moved to Circleville in 1991 where Ken worked at IBM (formerly Sterling Commerce) in Dublin, OH. 

Throughout his life, Ken gave freely of his time to support his friends, family, and community and the Kassner household was open to all who needed it. He was a devoted caregiver to his wife. An avid tennis fan, Ken also played the cello in his spare time. Ken volunteered his time with multiple charitable organizations, particularly Haven House of Pickaway County and Sertoma. Ken was also famous for baking cookies for his closest friends and family. 

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Eleanor Kassner. Ken is survived by his wife, Chris, and their two children, Brad (wife Julie) and Katie. Ken loved his two grandchildren Eleanor and Leo and was beloved for story times where he made all the animal noises. Ken is also survived by his brothers Gary (wife Armida) and Mark. He is survived by his close in-laws Tim and Tammy Hughes with their daughter Emily, and Paul and Tami Balcerzak with their daughter Sydney (wife Jessie).

Ken’s ashes will be spread at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating funds or clothing/hygiene items to Haven House of Pickaway County, a local domestic violence and homeless shelter loved dearly by Ken and Chris.
