Lawrence Hart

Shorty Hart, 88, of South Bloomingville, Ohio died on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. He was born on March 21, 1926 in Hocking County to William and Iva (Poling) Hart. He was a retired equipment operator for Columbia Gas and a WWII Army Veteran. Shorty was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Redman Lodge. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jeff Hart. Shorty is survived by his companion; Marjorie Neff, daughter; Kimberly (Ian) Griffey, granddaughter; Jessica Griffey, great granddaughter; Cheyenne Seimer, brother; James (Faith) Hart, sister; Nora Pascoe, niece; Pam Pascoe and by many other nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with Rev. Leland Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in Laurelville on Saturday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers family requests memorials to Redman Lodge.
